Prayer Journey

Last weekend I watched one of the most powerful movies I have ever seen, War Room. The storyline centered around the power of prayer. I have always prayed, but this movie really challenged me to the core. I desire to have a deeper walk with and Jesus and through daily prayer. I can achieve that. I am beginning a new book called "Prayer Works," written by the creators of the movie War Room. I am really excited to deepen my prayer life, and I encourage everyone to read this book and go see the movie if you have not already.
In the first chapter of the book, it focuses on "What Is Prayer?" Most importantly Prayer is a relationship with God. We need to understand how Loving our God is and through His Love he will protect us and guide us.In the devotional it says how in life, we can have tough obstacles, but prayer can be a shield, tool, a spiritual weapon to connect us directly to the Creator. When you are struggling in life, go directly to God in prayer.

Peace Amidst Stress

Sorry, its been awhile since I have posted.  I am so excited to start back again with my blog. This year I started my Junior year of highschool and as everyone says, it is the hardest year of high school. At first I didn't know what to expect because I would be taking AP and college classes. Now we have been in school for about 4 weeks now and all this homework is piling up. Lately, I have felt so stressed with all this work ,but I know that God's peace can sustain me. God amazes me so much because during our struggles, his presence gives us peace. It says in the Bible we will face trials of many kinds ,but I pray during these struggles, you can sense God's presence in your life today.

"I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world."

As a Christian...

As a Christian it is important to read God's teachings. The Bible is our guide to life. God tells us to witness to others who have never heard of Jesus. In our world people need Jesus. We need to spread the gospel and tell everyone about him. In the bible it clearly states, And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation ( Mark 16:15). Don't you see GOD wants us to go out and proclaim the gospel.

Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory. - Colossians 3:1-4

Being blessed...

In my life I am truly blessed to have great people in my life. Tonight my Youth group and I went to  Grant Manor.  Grant manor is a place for the elderly sick . Some of the people really touched me tonight, I realized that I take many things for granted. It made me really sad that there wasn't many visitors. They always enjoy people coming to see them. I was really happy to enjoy that thirty minutes to pray and sing songs to them. I am truly blessed to have the older people in my life. The people always bring a smile to my  face when I see them.

Witnessing to the Lost

Many people don't tell others about God because they are scared or nervous. I know how you feel...witnessing can be scary at times, even for me. Would you feel more confident to witness to your friends who don't know Christ? Would you? This could be your first step to witnessing because you would already be close to him/her. It would be easier than you thought. In the Bible its says, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit," Matthew 28:19. God calls us to witness don't you see? We are called to be disciples on the heavens and earth. In the Bible Gods says, "but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8. Everyday God will give you the opportunity to witness. I encourage you to go out to our world and speak the gospel to others. -Caroline

God Provides

Yesterday I made some homemade Bread and Butter pickles. God has truly blessed my family and me. Through this past June and July the weather got extremely hot and our garden needed rain. Our garden finally grew, and we got fresh cucumbers. Another  blessing was my mom's friend gave us fresh apples and we made homemade applesauce, apple pies, and little fried apple pies. God truly blessed us.

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."
Colossians 3:23,24
